Teaching experienceIn 2002 I started teaching Dutch to adults at ROC Mondriaan. I liked it so much that I started the post-HBO training for NT2 teacher (Dutch as a Second Language). I completed this in 2003. Immediately afterwards I obtained my ROC qualification. After that, I taught for various language agencies in many different places (from The Hague to Breda, from Rotterdam to Amsterdam), at all levels (from A0 to C2), from language enhancement to Dutch in the workplace, parent education, integration and learning to present. I became self-employed in 2011, in 2014 I followed Dutch training in the workplace and in 2022 I was certified for Blik op werk.
My backgroundI originally come from healthcare. After a number of years of HBO Nursing and a completed study in Healthcare Policy and Management at Erasmus University (in Rotterdam), I worked in home care until 1999. After that I worked at an automation company. Here I was introduced to working on a helpdesk and teaching users of the software. I enjoyed teaching so much that I wanted to continue with it.
Now
Together with my interest in language and other cultures, I am now in the right place. |
